It has always been a dream of mine to have a restaurant that would reflect the rich heritage of my background and allow me to use my many years of food brokerage experience at the same time. While I built my own business from scratch in the food industry I found that the excitement of meeting the needs of ethnic foods for those who sought a unique dining experience was something that came naturally to me.
I was born of parents from Cuba and Puerto Rico and have a strong feeling for the many dishes that those countries had for their people. My best friend of 20 years being from Madrid, Spain and sharing the same interest in the foods of those people gave me the inspiration to start a restaurant that would serve only traditional dishes from these backgrounds.
I trust that you will find in Cafe Madrid only the best quality and traditional recipes of the mediterranean heritage and delight your tastes for truly a "Taste of Spain in Chelmsford Center"

YAZMIN BADIAS FADJO has been a professional Food Broker for the past ten years forming her own company and having major accounts with large well known grocery stores and local bodegas in the Boston area. She has specialized in ethnic foods and the unique items that are used for their preparation and service. She has been named in Who's Who for 2006 by the Food Brokers Association of America. Yazmin is Cuban and has family in Puerto Rico as well as the U.S. She is married to Dr. Larry Fadjo and together they have ten children and live in Westford, Massachusetts.
DR MARIA CUESTA is a well known local educator, artist and chef and an expert on the history of Cuban Cooking. She has exciting Cuban menu items that will delight your taste and your eyes! Maria is an artist and has hand painted the mural at Cafe Madrid's Wine Center. She is also an accomplished musician and sings at Cafe Madrid on Saturday nights! She plays the piano and keyboard and makes our weekend evenings at Cafe Madrid a special event every time! She is collaborating with Yazmin on the writing of a Cuban Cookbook that will be published this spring. Dr. Cuesta is a unique blend of traditional Cuban Heritage and the best that Spain has to offer in authentic cuisine and entertainment!
DR LARRY FADJO is a well known local Dentist in Chelmsford and husband of Yazmin. He has his specialty in the Famous Cafe Madrid Sangria! He arranges all the nightly entertainment and provides the advertising and newspaper articles for Cafe Madrid. |
