- Getting the restaurant ready for the new Havana Room....Steam cleaning the carpets....a regular event but this time with a new addition ready to open....

- Sunday night thorough cleaning by family and staff....it is a constant concern that our restaurant is spotless

- The painters were here this morning before the breakfast customers come in finishing the new ceiling that opens our Havana Room into the restaurant....VERY SOON WE WILL BE FINISHED!

- Outside the parking lot is paved where we added the larger grease trap which will now allow a total seating capacity of 100 seats at Cafe Madrid / Havana Room....

- The painters even came on Saturday to help with the final coats of paint for the Monday crew waiting to finish the new bar.

We finally have a dance floor and new carpet being installed...when the ceiling in the bar is finished and painted we will be ready to open....we hope by April 23rd,,,,,,at least that is the word this week! ha ha!

- We are breaking through into the new restaurant and we are planning on finishing this week....

- Here is our new sign which should be lit about the same time as our room opens, hopefully this week.

- We took out our Lady's Room Bathroom to open the restaurant into the Havana Room and we have added a new beautiful double lady's room with sitting area.

- We have stained the new bar and today the granite countertop is being installed...

- the French doors for the entrance are here and will be installed tomorrow....they are to be painted black!

- the waterfall wall has arrived and will be installed shortly.....

- We are almost there... this ceiling is in and the bar is close to being finished.... next the paint!

- This week we finish the walls and paint! It is starting to look like our dream is coming true!

- Today is the last day we see these metal studs. Tomorrow we will have all the walls finished and our room will finally take shape.

- The heat and air conditioning systems are being installed and we are fast approaching having the walls finished that will bring shape to the Havana Room.

- We had to enlarge Yazmin's office as we now are booking functions for the new Havana Room and Yaz has hired a function coordinator who will be handling all of the business meetings, private parties and various other functions in the new room. We are still on track for opening April 1st!

- Today we made a big step toward getting our Havana Room underway...we finally have a complete cement floor! Next is the walls.....

- New Grease Traps.... huge! holding 2000 gallons of water....
- bigger size for our bigger restaurant.... more seats....
- no waiting for tables and a new bigger dining room for private parties and business meetings....
